Elite
Expediting, Inc. was founded by a young entrepreneur named Katie
Warfield, on October 1, 2001 in a small Tulsa, Ok suburb, named
Catoosa. Katie started her career in the trucking industry booking
back hauls for a large trucking company that was based in Dallas,
with her office in Arkansas. The Little girl with the inquisitive
mind soon found trucking in her blood and promoted to brokerage
manager. After a few years and a couple of other jobs in the
industry she decided to venture out on her own. Thus after a
couple of margaritas and "what the hell," Elite Expediting,
Inc was a reality.
Meanwhile
in Des Moines, Iowa (no this isn't Heaven, its Iowa) a young
man with the chiseled good looks of a Tom Cruise, the stature
of one Tom Sellick, and the captivating voicing and presence
of Sam Elliott, worked diligently for the rolling R's logistic
department. The young man had worked with Katie numerous times
in the past, and was always impressed by her integrity and quality
of loads, was soon approached by the lovely broker of freight
from Catoosa, to consider joining her team. After careful deliberation,
a couple of beers and a "what the hell", Katie's little
band of brokers gained a member.
Two
offices seemed like a good idea, but one office would prevail
to be better. Des Moines was picked to be the home office, for
whatever reasons, something about finding Heaven, we're not
sure.
Today
you can find the happy people of Elite Expediting working ever
so hard to make your transportation effortless. As you drive
by and you look close enough, you can see Katie high atop the
EEI building overlooking the fine tuned freight-moving machine,
